Unmei no Kizuna

I’ve deleted all spam messages in the forum. The spam messages number was so high that cleaning selectively would have been an impossible work so it might have happened that some legitimate messages got lost in the process (although I tried to be as careful as possible). The same counts for user accounts created in 2009. Hundreds of spam accounts were created and I had to delete them tout court (they were actually SO many that  it was impossible to delete them in bulk as the process would eat up the server’s allocated memory for my account). So, if some legitimate users joined recently, their account or posts are lost (I doubt that happened though. Just in case, if you had an account and you can’t log in, just contact me).

As I told before, I’ll most likely remove the forum if it keeps on being inactive. I’m probably going to rebuild it from the ground up and stick it to my webcomic site (leaving the old UnK posts that I could save in a closed historical archive or something) Meanwhile, I’m updating phpBB to the latest version, and close any new automatic sign up, each sign up will have to be approved by me manually.

Which doesn’t mean the site is complete, but we’re getting close XD It still needs major fixes, layout is everything but well coded (it works, but I think it’s quite an abomination to good coding xD), but at least we have some sort of layout yay XD The 5.0 site has now enough content up to replace the old site version, although it’s not the whole content of the old site yet, I’ll slowly replace all the stuff.

The fact we’ve come to the final stage doesn’t mean it will be quick. I needed far more than a year to come to this, not counting all the time the site has had sections down after the hacking of xmgfree some years ago.

I’m thinking about removing the forum since no one is using that since a long time  (except spambots, those are always active ) If you think it can be revived, let me know, I personally think it’s impossible to be saved, but who knows.
