About Mukuro
Kanji: 躯 (you need to have Japanese support to view this) This kanji apparently has two different forms depending on the font. This one (with that sign shaped loosely like an X inside) Is the most common form, but in some other fonts it has a slightly different form (3 small boxes instead of the X-like shape). Apparently that’s the standard form of the traditional Chinese ideogram of the same meaning, and that’s the form used in the manga. In the anime it’s usually written with katakana (syllabic alphabet).
Meaning of the name: It seems the original Chinese sign means simply “body”, but the Japanese reading “Mukuro” actually means “corpse” or “tree with rotten core”
Race: unknown demon
Eye-color: azure blue
Hair-color: Copper red/orange
Age: unknown, for sure more than 1000 years
Class: S
Powers: The efficiency of her powers depends a lot from her mood. Her abilities include:
- superior strength in fighting
- flying
- psychic/telepathic powers not well identified, including mind-reading (probably through physical contact)
- Technique of cutting of space. She can slice space with her hand, and anything that crosses the cut lines gets hurt or sliced as well.
Friends: she hasn’t any known friendly relationship with anyone… but it seems her warriors are very loyal to her.
Known Relatives: Chikou – supposedly her father and abusive slave master, although it’s unclear whether he’s her natural father or just an adoptive one. The manga just calls him father, the anime doesn’t tell anything about it, but it tells she got abandoned at birth by her real parents. The two stories actually have diverging points and probably should be considered as two different and parallel versions of her background (like different universes). This filthy person, anyway, is now serving as decorative plant in Mukuro’s room. XD
